  5. 1. Hold down the shift key.
  6. 2. Click in the play bar away from the thumb.
  7.     The thumb jumps to the new point.
  8. 3. Drag to a different point.
  9.     The selection begins following the thumb.
  10. 4. Release the shift key or the mouse to stop.

  12. To extend a selection you‚Äôve started:
